I just got the first of my three blocks back from Kathy Shaw’s Round Robin! This one was embellished by Kathy, and I think it’s Gorgeous!

I finished embellishing this one last night:
I used variations of feather stitch, detached chain stitch, and French knots, in #8 perle cotton, two strands of DMC floss, and two strands of DMC metallic floss. What do you think?
I’ve finished embellishing Renee’s block. Here’s what it looked like when I got it:

The fabrics in this block are so pretty that I decided to go with fairly simple embellishments. I used buttonhole stitch, laced buttonhole stitch, feather stitch, herringbone stitch, and side by side fly stitches, mostly in gold thread. Unfortunately, the gold doesn’t really show up well in the photo. In any case, this block will go out in tomorrow’s mail.

Today I received the blocks that I am to embroider for Kathy Shaw’s Rectangular Round Robin.
Now I just need to decide how to embellish them.
